i'm not a photographer

my husband bought me a new camera for my 27th birthday - yeah, he's pretty great like that. and so now i have this new hobby of photography, which is really exciting, because i'm always looking for new hobbies and such. {that was sarcasm, having two kids keeps me busy enough} but really i am pretty excited. so i've decided to embrace this newness and as with any hobby - practice makes perfect. i've decided to do a 365 challenge, one that i will probably not meet to completion but at least i'm going to try. a photo a day. my end goal is to be able to take amazing pictures of my children, because it's what every mom wants. memories trapped in time. i'll do a post at the end of every week with my seven photos from the week before. fear not, i'll throw in some outfit posts and some other random thoughts from a stay at home mom to fill in the gaps. and since it's a new year, here are some of my favorite pictures that i took in 2014, in no particular order.
