Meet baby Dana.
She is my first from bump to newborn "sequence" (you can see the bump here, and her birth story here) and she's beautiful. She covered a lot of firsts for me so I feel like these will always be some of my favorite shots.
Dana was my first official newborn shoot. I went in overly excited to finally "meet" the baby I witnessed being born. She was (is) so itty bitty, it's amazing how quickly I forgot how tiny newborns were, with their sweet little noises. I'm not going to lie, it gave me a bit of the fever but I digress.
We started with a couple "in the basket" shots, which she did surprisingly well with, and then a couple of outfit and diaper changes later, our shoot was a wrap. *side note :: I love naked babies.*
I really don't have much to say other than, newborn shoots take a lot longer than you think they will. Position, and reposition, and then reposition again. Expect poop. Making sure that she was fed beforehand and keeping the room warm were major factors in this successful shoot.
I'm really just in love with these images.
